The purpose of this design is to solve the problem of the lack of communication in the neighborhood. This area is located in Montreal, very quiet, and being surrounded by houses. Families who are living here are mostly very busy that they don’t have much time during the weekdays to socialize with their neighbors. Therefore, during the weekend and holidays, they either stay home with their family members or going to their friends who they knew from other places and occasions. However, those friends are all living far away from them, and their neighbors who are just a few feet from their house are becoming those who they never talked to, and this had lead to the issue of lacking communication. By redesigning this area, I want to bond people with various backgrounds together and provide them a chance to communicate. I have analyzed how the area looks, observed people's living habits, and created creative seats accordingly to allow interactions.
